Mountain View Junior High math teacher Sheri Nebeker has been recognized as the March recipient of the “I Love Teaching” Award, a monthly honor given to outstanding educators in Weber School District. Nominated by her principal, Matt Patterson, Mrs. Nebeker is celebrated for her passion for teaching, dedication to student success, and ability to make math both accessible and enjoyable.

Mrs. Nebeker’s impact extends far beyond the classroom. Colleagues describe her as a mentor, role model, and friend, while students appreciate her patient and engaging approach to teaching. “She makes learning fun and helps us understand math instead of just expecting us to get it right away,” shared one of her students. Another added, “She truly cares about every student and always comes to class with a smile.”

Known for her belief that every student can succeed in math, Mrs. Nebeker works tirelessly to create a welcoming and supportive learning environment. She emphasizes building confidence in her students, helping them overcome self-doubt, and celebrating those “lightbulb moments” when concepts click.

“Many students come into my classroom thinking math is too hard,” said Mrs. Nebeker. “I want them to know they are capable, that they belong, and that success is possible. Watching them find that confidence is what makes teaching so rewarding.”

As a dedicated educator, Mrs. Nebeker not only teaches math but also instills a lifelong love of learning. Her colleagues and students agree that this recognition is well deserved.

“Mrs. Nebeker is the kind of teacher every student should have,” said a fellow faculty member. “She builds strong relationships, makes learning meaningful, and truly cares about the success of everyone around her.”

Congratulations to Sheri Nebeker on this well-earned recognition! Thank you for your dedication and for making a difference in the lives of so many students.
