H Guy Child Elementary

H. Guy Child Elementary is located in the city of South Ogden, Utah. It is named after Henry Guy Child who served as the first mayor of South Ogden and who also served on the Weber School District Board of Education. The school was constructed in 1965 with an additional wing being added in 1978. It serves the residents of South Ogden who live south of Highway 89 and the residents of lower Uintah. The population of the school is approximately 400 students with 60  staff members including teachers, paraprofessionals, counselor, speech/language pathologist, Special Education staff, office staff, custodians, cooks, and other support staff. In addition to providing comprehensive, core curriculum-based learning to students in kindergarten through 6th grade, we also provide differentiated instruction and special education services, including services to students with severe needs in our functional life skills classrooms.
