Hi! My name is Christian Charlesworth. I have a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and have worked in different positions in education, including eight years as a reading aide and three years teaching English Language Learners. I’ve taught 1st and 2nd grades and am currently loving my time in Kindergarten.

I am passionate about teaching and committed to creating a positive, supportive classroom where students feel safe, valued, and excited to learn.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our five amazing children. As a family, we love hiking, biking, playing pickleball, paddle boarding, traveling, and going to Dodgers games. I also enjoy reading, dark chocolate, watching movies, and game nights with family.

I’m Mrs. Mankin. I have taught at Plain City for 28 years, 27 of which I have taught first grade. For 16 of those years, I was known as Mrs. Nelson. I love teaching the younger children and especially love that moment when the light bulb goes on in their little brains and they understand what is being taught. The looks on their faces are priceless!

I graduated from USU with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. I later went back to USU to recertify and picked up a second bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, as well as a Math Endorsement.

My husband and I love to go camping and four wheeling. We love the mountains, and especially the Piute Trail. I’m a big believer in Bigfoot and all things extra terrestrial. I have one son and daughter-in-law, and hope to be a grandma soon!

Hi, I’m Shauna Smith. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Weber State University. After graduating, I opened Cornerstone Preschool, where I taught for 16 years. I came to Plain City Elementary in 2004 and spent 13 adventurous years teaching Kindergarten. In 2017, I joined the First Grade team, and the adventure continues!

I grew up here and I attended Plain City Elementary at its old location, so I am a true Panther! I currently live across the street from my childhood home. I have two married children and six amazing grandchildren.

My greatest joy comes from spending time with my family. We go hiking, biking, kayaking, and vacationing together.

I collect teddy bears and I love dark chocolate.

I'm a beach lover who believes in dressing for the weather I want, which means flip flops and sandals all year! I'm married with four kids. My teaching journey began as a substitute in Weber School District, where I spent time in many grade levels. I loved it so much that I went back to school, earning my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education in Spring 2022 and a Master's degree in Spring 2023. I have since spent four wonderful years teaching 2nd grade. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy hunting big game, camping, and fishing with my family. I also tend to a big garden in the summer, growing tomatoes, jalapeños, bell peppers, and pumpkins. I've started canning my own salsa and spaghetti sauces, as well as some fruit jams. My favorite things include sipping on Diet Dr. Pepper and enjoying a slice of pizza.
