9th Grade Drone Aviation class is learning the basic principles of flight. They are learning that what the Wright brothers did took a lot of trial and error, as they try for themselves to build a working rubberband propelled glider. We ran tests after a week of building both indoor and outdoor to see how they flew , turns out its tougher than it looks. "Knowledge is of no value unless you put it into practice,"-Anton Chekhov

Mrs. Lucas: Orion Advanced Orchestra performed at the district festival yesterday. I am so proud of the way they performed and the way they conducted themselves as an audience as well. We earned superior scores from the judges. If you see these students, please tell them congratulations!

For the past week and half, the 7th Graders in Mr. Tanner's College and Career Awareness class have been diving into the Career fields of Food Scientist, Product Designer and Sensory Evaluator. They spent 3 days designing and perfecting a spice blend that could be added to treats such as popcorn. Then design the package of that product and finally yesterday they judged each other both on taste and packaging. Here are the results. Coca Pop won in Flavor and Elote Popcorn won in bag design.

Over the past few Titan Times we have had many victories and defeats, each class is racking up Medals left and right. We had Bean bag toss, shuffle board, ping pong bouncing and today we had a school Biathlon, where teams of 4 had to slide to locations and shoot into a bucket before the next teammate could take over on the skis and head to the next location. Mrs. Lee’s 8th graders came in first followed by Mr. Tanner’s 7th in 2nd and Mr. Young’s 7th in 3rd. 9th graders didn’t make the podium this time.
