How Fit are You??? Students assessed their overall fitness in the 5 components of fitness: cardiorespiratory endurance, muscular strength, muscular endurance, flexibility, and body composition. They were able to compare their results to the average ability for their age and gender. They then created a SMART goal and a weekly workout plan to improve their overall fitness.

Health Students created Sugar Shocker Boards. Students were SHOCKED to discover how much sugar is in some of their favorite foods. Students researched the adverse effects of too much sugar on overall health. They found out the recommended limit of sugar per day (6 tsp for females and children, 9 for men) and how much the average American eats per day (22 tsps.). Each group created a display board with the amount of sugar per serving and per container for some favorite treats. Did you know one Mountain Dew has 3 days worth of sugar!?

Our Math students solved probability questions to solve the mystery. We all had a great time and it was fun to watch some of the students run from one station to another to get their next clue.

The 8th Grade Robotics class had an awesome time at the District competition on April 13th. Along with other Junior high robotics classes within the district, they were challenged to build a drivable robot that could pop the three balloons of the competition while keeping theirs safe. We took 3rd in the main, 1st and 2nd in design. Way to go Titans!!!
