On Thursday, we rolled out the red carpet for our most creative students at Weberfest—an academy-awards-style celebration spotlighting incredible talent in video production, graphic art & design, and photography across Weber School District! Held at Walker Cinemas in North Ogden, students from all of our high schools were recognized and showcased their best work in 25+ categories. It was inspiring to see the passion and skill displayed across so many different forms of media. To top it off, students enjoyed a classic movie theater experience—complete with popcorn and a drink—as they watched the winning entries on the big screen. We are so proud of the creativity and talent shown by our students—and we can’t wait to see what they create next!

The Region Theatre competition was fierce, as always. The Roy High Team took 3rd Place at Region overall, getting superior school, and qualified all but 2 students to advance to State!
Roy's one act play, The Elder Pendragon, also advanced to State taking 3rd place, only the top 3 schools advanced, so this was very exciting!

This year, our esports club has been participating in a pilot program as esports prepares to become a sanctioned UHSAA competition next year. Our Super Smash Bros. Ultimate team—Spencer Jones, Jakob Zimmer, Erik Sokolowski, and Xander Hendrix—went undefeated in the division playoffs over the past few weeks, making them club champions in the 5A division!
