Team building with a view! A few Farr West teachers took a meaningful hike together to see "The Major." Beyond the stunning sight of the giant flag, the best part was sharing personal stories about the veterans who inspire us.

We loved seeing Falcons students (both current and former!) also on the trail. Our faculty is simply the best, and we love connecting outside the classroom!

A huge thank you to Discovery Gateway Children's Museum for bringing the fun of science right to our campus! 🙏 Our kindergarten students were captivated as they explored the concepts of push and pull. It's wonderful to see our Falcons engaging with these foundational science lessons. We're so grateful for the faculty, students, and community partners who make learning like this possible!

Building a love for science, one experiment at a time.

Thank you for partnering with us!

Parents on bikes
Come cruise to school with us! On Monday, October 27th it is Ride and Walk to School Safely Day. We will be riding in a Bike Bus to school from the neighborhoods north and south of 2700 N. Please check the attached maps. First off, all adults and families are invited to join! Please have your student staged at one of the designated meeting spots by 8:00 am. As the Bike Bus passes, they can thread in at the back of the pack. Please review all bike safety and route information below with your student(s) prior to Monday's ride. We will also have a stronger police presence that morning, as well as a deputy or two riding with us!

Bike Bus Information

Date and Time: Monday, October 27th at 8:00 am
Starting Point for Mia Meadows: Cul-de-sac at 2662 W 2125 N Farr West
Starting Point for Farr West Meadows: Corner of 2488 W 2775 N Farr West

Directions for how to ride in the Bike Bus:

Wait at a designated stop (check out your neighborhood map that is attached) for the Bike Bus pick up spots and route. We will have balloons at each pick-up spot. DO NOT pull out in front of the Bike Bus. Wait for it to pass and filter in at the back of the pack.
All riders must remain behind the adult in reflective gear in the front. We are riding safely and respectfully in a one-way direction towards the school. No tricks or turning around while riding with the Bike Bus. In the neighborhoods will will be riding in the same direction as traffic. Once we are on 2700 North, we will be riding against traffic. Please stay on the sidewalk or near the curb. We will be stopping at all stop signs.
Wear your helmet! We want all students to safely ride to school. We will be in the roads. Please make sure to stay out of the middle of the road. Treat every road as if it has a bike lane.
Wear warm clothes. It is possible there will be rain on Monday. We will be riding, rain or shine! However, watch for an email Sunday night or early Monday morning in case there is a chance of lightening and we need to cancel.
Remember it is NEON Day, wear the brightest clothes you have. Reflective gear is awesome!

Many children are wearing neon yellow or green shirts, and those on bikes have helmets. Some adults are holding hands with children, and one child is in a wagon being pulled by an adult

Unity Day Kindness, Acceptance, Inclusion, and bullying prevention
Students and teachers, participate in Unity Week by marching through a park. They are dressed in orange and holding anti-bullying signs, symbolizing their commitment to a positive and united school environment during October: National Bullying Prevention Month.
We love seeing our students rockin' those hallway procedures! A big shoutout to all the students who earned a Blue Leader Bar—you set a great example!

Our lucky Leader Bar drawing winners had the ride of their lives in a limo last Friday! Check out these smiles! 📸

Behind every successful experiment is a curious mind! Our 5th graders are learning the art of experimental design and diving into the scientific method with full force. They are not just following steps; they are learning to ask questions and find their own answers. #FarrWestFalcons #5thGradeScience #FutureScientists

A brightly lit and very clean elementary school hallway, decorated with colorful student artwork and bulletin boards. A small round table with a vase of flowers and a 'Thank You, Custodians!' sign sits on the left. A cleaning cart filled with supplies is on the right, and colorful foam alphabet letters are scattered on the polished floor.

We love when our amazing community partners bring learning to our school! The 5th graders at Farr West Elementary were captivated by a fun and interactive science class from Discovery Gateway. They learned all about chemical reactions and states of matter through hands-on experiments. We're so grateful for these incredible educational opportunities. 💙 #FarrWestFalcons #DiscoveryGateway
