Dear Freedom Families,
As many of you know, it was announced at last week’s Weber School District Board meeting that Mr. Lott will be transferring to Country View Elementary, and I was named principal of Freedom Elementary.
Some of you parents that go way back, may remember me from years ago. I interned here at Freedom eight years ago under Diane Rockwood. I always hoped I would find my way back, and here I am! I’m genuinely excited to join your school community and look forward to serving the students, teachers, parents, and community of Freedom Elementary.
I come to you from Hooper Elementary, where I’ve served as principal for the past seven years. While it’s hard to say goodbye to such a wonderful community, I am absolutely thrilled to join the Freedom family.
I’ve heard wonderful things about the dedication and care here, and I share that same commitment. I am a strong child advocate and believe deeply that school should be a safe place where every student can thrive. Your children’s safety, academic growth, and happiness will always be at the center of my work.
For those I haven’t met yet, here’s a little about myself. I live in Plain City and enjoy my time on my “mini-wanna-be ranch.” I have three grown and married daughters and six adorable grandkids! When I’m not at school, I find my peace on the back of my horse and love trail riding in our beautiful Utah mountains.
I look forward to meeting you and your children as we begin this exciting new chapter together.
Warmly,
Kari Breeding
