As the cold weather continues, we want to remind you of our guidelines for recess during the winter months. Ensuring the safety and comfort of our students is a top priority.
We assess several factors to determine if recess will be held indoors or outdoors. One key consideration is the temperature, with 20 degrees Fahrenheit being a critical benchmark. If the temperature or wind chill falls below this point, we will typically hold recess indoors. (for example- if it is a sunny day with minimal wind and 18 degrees, we will most likely head outside)
Please ensure your child is prepared for outdoor recess by dressing them appropriately for the cold weather.
Thank you for your cooperation and support in keeping our students safe and comfortable.
