Wigglitz

Congratulations to the winners and finalists in our district wide 3D Design Competition! Finals were held on May 13th at the Wigglitz Headquarters, where 10 talented finalists from across the district got to pitch their original, 3D-printed projects in a fast-paced, 2-minute "Shark Tank" style presentation.

The students presented their designs to an impressive panel of industry experts from Wigglitz, which included:

  • The Head Design Engineer his entire engineering team

  • The Head Toy/Play Designer

  • The Director of Operations and Execution

Wigglitz generously used this event not only to judge the competition, but also as a scouting opportunity to look for potential student summer internships and to further strengthen their invaluable industry partnership with the Weber School District.

The Competition Results

The judges had an incredibly difficult time deciding, but we are proud to announce this year's top winners and their amazing prizes:

Prize: A refurbished Bambu Lab X1C 3D Printer to continue creating advanced designs!

2nd Place Winner: Samuel Toledo, designed a 100% original character, FrosteePopz, an ice cream spiral fidget toy and customized from different flavors and colors!

Prize: A Giant Wigglitz of their choice!

3rd Place Winner: Stockton Roberts, PebblePals, reinventing the pet rock. Created a line of of customizable hats and other accessories designed from scratch.

Prize: A Wigglitz Pouch plus Wigglitz of their choice!

A huge thank you to ZB Designs, the team at Wigglitz, and all the educators who supported these creative students. We cannot wait to see how these young innovators shape the future of design!
