Ogden Volunteer Service

Royal FFA/Floral classes participated in an amazing service opportunity. The daffodil is the flower that symbolizes hope for those affected by cancer, so in collaboration with the Holy Cross Jordan Valley Cancer Center, Roy students wrote heartfelt notes and made small daffodil arrangements as gifts for the patients going through their treatments. The students also made larger arrangements for the treatment areas to brighten everyone's day. It was an amazing opportunity for students to use their skills in floriculture to give hope and comfort for those fighting cancer. Please share this great message of kindness!

Each year, from Thanksgiving to the end of December, we kick off our CTE 30 Days of Service. Below are just some of the things that are taking place in Weber School District CTE this year!

FCCLAThis December, West Field High school  FCCLA members volunteered at the Ogden Christmas Village Lights, working in the Breakfast Exchange Club’s Hot Chocolate Booth. All proceeds from the booth each day go to buying shoes for children in need in the Weber & Ogden School District.

yccThe community and amazing teachers at Mountain View Junior High brought in their unwrapped gifts to help the FCCLA fundraiser. The amazing FCCLA members spent the afternoon on December 16th, wrapping gifts for cash donations to give to the Ogden YCC. So proud of our Mountain View FCCLA!
