Stem Fair Winners

Weber School District recently honored the scientific achievements of its students and educators during the 2026 STEM Fair Award Ceremony. The event celebrated the ingenuity of 72 brilliant students whose projects ranged from groundbreaking experiments to innovative engineering.

International Fair Finalists

The highlight of the evening was the announcement of the Top 5 Projects selected to represent the district at the International Fair this May. These elite young scientists include:

  • Kamryn Smith – Mountain View Jr. High

  • Dallan Hansen – Weber High

  • Evelyn Stephens – Weber High

  • Nicole Aguayo – Roy High

  • Megan Pautz & Charley Wintle – Orion Jr. High

Excellence in Leadership and Culture

The district also recognized the vital role of educators and school environments in fostering STEM success through the Teacher of the Year and School of the Year awards.

In the elementary division, Shelby Boyce of North Ogden Elementary was named Teacher of the Year, with the school itself sweeping the category as School of the Year. At the junior high level, Mat Brown of Mountain View earned Teacher of the Year honors, and Mountain View Jr. High was recognized as School of the Year.

Fremont High continued its strong legacy in the competition, being named High School of the Year, while Laurel Selman was honored as the High School Teacher of the Year. Each winning school will inherit a prestigious traveling plaque to display for the coming year.

Congratulations to all the participants and educators who continue to make Weber School District a hub for the next generation of creators.
