Students singing at board meeting

The Weber School District Board of Education meeting was more than just an official gathering—it was a heartfelt showcase of the talent and dedication that defines our community. From moving musical performances to prestigious awards, the evening served as a powerful reminder of why WSD is a leader in student success and staff excellence.

A Performance to Remember

The night opened with a touch of Disney magic. Fremont High School performing arts students Jonas Horton and Jeanne Murphy took the stage to perform a stunning rendition of “You’ll Be in My Heart” from Tarzan. Accompanied by the talented Josh Musselman, their performance brought a sense of warmth and inspiration to the room, highlighting the incredible caliber of the fine arts programs within our 51 schools.

Honoring Our Educators

The district was thrilled to present the "I Love Teaching" Award to Brent Ludlow from Orchard Springs Elementary.

Presented by Kirt Swalberg, this award is a testament to the passion and heart Brent brings to his classroom daily. Teachers like Brent are the backbone of our district, ensuring that our 30,000 students don’t just learn, but truly thrive.

The evening also featured a Principal Spotlight, where Daryl Fluckiger shared the latest achievements and innovations happening at West Weber Elementary. Principal Fluckiger’s leadership and vision continue to foster an environment where students feel supported and empowered to reach their full potential.
