Weber School District is proud to recognize DiAne Morin of Roy Junior High as the recipient of this month’s Extra Mile Award, honoring her more than 35 years of dedicated service to students, staff, and the Roy community.

Often described as the heart of Roy Junior High, DiAne has spent decades ensuring everyone who walks through the school’s front doors feels welcomed, respected, and supported. As the face of the front office, she is often the first person families, students, and staff interact with — setting a tone of kindness, professionalism, and care.

Colleagues describe DiAne as the first to arrive, the first to offer help, and the first to notice when someone needs extra support. She is a strong advocate for students, taking time to listen, encourage, and ensure they feel seen and valued. Her work running the school’s food pantry reflects that same compassion, providing assistance to families with dignity and respect.

Throughout her career, DiAne has also played a key role in supporting faculty and mentoring multiple principals, using her deep knowledge of the school and community to help others succeed. Her willingness to step in wherever needed has made a lasting impact on Roy Junior High.

Weber School District congratulates DiAne Morin on this well-deserved honor and thanks her for going the extra mile every single day.
