Student Performance We kicked things off with a joyful performance of "Life's a Happy Song" by the Country View Elementary 6th Grade Choir, directed by Kim King. What a talented group!

Our Award-Winning Staff! The celebrations didn't stop there. Please join us in giving a HUGE congratulations to our amazing staff who were honored:

Mat Brown (Mountain View Jr. High): Utah Earth Science Teacher of the Year!

Aaron Simms (Bonneville High): Utah Outstanding Physics Teacher of the Year!

Jen Slater (West Field High): I Love Education Award Winner!

The Valley Elementary Special Education Team: E+ Team Award Winners! (Hailee Morse, Bailey Johnson, Brinlee Johansen, Brittany Burcham, Joan Morse, Joanna Kirsha, & Kason McKay)

We heard an awesome spotlight from Principal Chris Archuleta. He shared the amazing things happening at Bell:

Student Success: Big congrats to the boys' volleyball team on their inaugural championship run and the 7th-grade "mini bowl" football champs!

Connecting Before Content: We loved hearing about their school-wide focus on building strong relationships to create a "safe, seen, and supported" environment for students.

It's Working! This focus has already led to a 5% increase in positive teacher-student relationships and a 5-point jump in students' sense of belonging and grit, as measured by the Panorama survey!

We are so grateful for all the people who make our district a special place to learn and grow.
