The gym at Roy High School was filled with energy, excitement, and camaraderie as students from across Weber School District came together for the Unified High School Basketball Tournament—a celebration of inclusion, teamwork, and the power of sports to bring people together.
This Special Olympics Unified Sports event paired students with and without intellectual disabilities on the same teams, fostering meaningful friendships and breaking down barriers through the love of the game. From the first tip-off to the final buzzer, the tournament was a testament to sportsmanship, perseverance, and school-wide unity.
Athletes and peer partners showcased incredible teamwork, cheering each other on, making big plays, and proving that sports are for everyone. Fans in the stands erupted with applause as players demonstrated their skills, heart, and determination on the court.
