Roy High Sophomores Receive Signed Books in Surprise "Book Drop" Event
Weber School District continues to prioritize literacy and student engagement through innovative "book drop" events. On February 26th, Roy High School hosted renowned mystery writer April Henry. After an engaging presentation regarding her writing process and the importance of reading, the entire 10th-grade class was surprised with their own signed copies of Henry’s work.
This initiative, spearheaded by District Library Specialist Amy Hall and Roy High Library Tech Specialist Annette Corry, highlights the district's dedication to putting high-quality literature directly into the hands of students. By connecting students with professional authors, WSD aims to foster a lifelong love of learning and storytelling.
