The gym at Roy High School was once again filled with energy, cheers, and school pride as students from across the district came together for this year’s Weber School District Unified High School Basketball Tournament.
This Special Olympics Unified Sports event brought athletes with and without intellectual disabilities onto the same teams, creating an atmosphere built on teamwork, encouragement, and inclusion. Every game showcased not just athletic skill, but genuine connection, sportsmanship, and joy.
Students from every high school in the district participated, making the tournament a true district-wide celebration. From big baskets to high-fives and sideline cheers, the focus was clear: belonging matters.
This meaningful event was proudly sponsored by the Weber School District Foundation in partnership with Special Olympics, whose continued support helps make inclusive opportunities like this possible for students across Weber School District.
Thank you to the athletes, peer partners, coaches, staff, and fans who made this year’s tournament another unforgettable experience.
