Tech Tip Tuesday: Interactive Tools for Student Success

  • Kahoot Tournament of Champions

Create a bracket-style tournament where students compete in smaller Kahoot rounds, and winners move to a final "championship" game.

  • Nearpod Time to Climb "Escape Challenge"

Embed "Time to Climb" games at different stages of a Nearpod lesson. Students must answer correctly to "escape" to the next level.

  • Blooket Tower Defense Collaboration

Put students into small teams. Each team collaborates to win at Blooket Tower Defense, sharing strategies and working together.

  • Padlet Mystery Picture Reveal

Set up a Padlet with hidden "tiles" (columns) that only reveal a review question when clicked. If students answer correctly, you delete the covering tile and reveal part of a hidden picture.

  • Gimkit Boss Battle

Use Gimkit’s “Boss Battle” mode where students work together to defeat a "boss" (it could even be you, the teacher!) based on correct answers.

  • Edpuzzle Choose-Your-Own-Adventure Video

Create an Edpuzzle from a branching story video. Students answer questions to decide which path the story takes — correct answers keep them "alive" in the adventure.

  • Flippity Board Game Spinner

Use Flippity’s Random Name Picker or Game Show to build a spinner board. Students spin, land on a question, and answer to move ahead in a custom board game you design.

  • Quizizz Relay Race

Teams of students complete Quizizz questions relay-style: one player starts and after every 5 questions, they “pass the baton” to a teammate.
